Megan Anne Pinot Noir

A tidbit about the grape(s)/wine style

Megan Anne Cellars LogoMegan Anne Cellars was started in 2014 by Mark Ryan Winery founder and wine maker, Mark McNeilly, and his wife, Megan. By collaborating with Evening Land winemaker Isabelle Meunier, this label is already making some world class OR wine from the Willamette Valley.

Grape: Pinot Noir
Region:  Willamette Valley, OR, USA
Alcohol: 14.4% abv
Tasting Notes: Ripe notes of black cherry, blackberry and pomegranate molasses are balanced by sassafras, dried leaves and a woodsy structure. Its silky front palate evolves into moderately drying tannins and plenty of acid which make it a food (and life) pairing dream.
Food Pairings: Chinese 5 spice duck, Salisbury steak with mushrooms, pork tenderloin.

Chipmonkey Wine gifts are first and foremost about the wine. We only include really good wine from really good wineries. To achieve Certified Sommelier status with the Court of Master Sommeliers, candidates must pass a rigorous exam demonstrating extensive world-wide theoretical wine knowledge, proficient service skills in a mock restaurant environment, and the ability to correctly identify characteristics of various wines tasted blind.
