Gramercy Cellars CV Syrah

A tidbit about the grape(s)/wine style

Gramercy CellarsMaster Sommelier, Greg Harrington, started Gramercy Cellars in 2005 with a mission to make world class wine from Walla Walla and surrounding AVAs. Within a mere 5 years, Gramercy earned the “Best New Winery in America” award from Food & Wine Magazine, along with a myriad of other prestigious accolades. Their wines display an impeccable balance between concentrated fruit, savory backbones and just enough fresh acidity and lift.

Grape: Syrah
Region: Columbia Valley, WA, USA
Aging: 15 months in neutral French oak puncheons
Alcohol: 13.3% abv
Tasting Notes:  Opens with lush red plum and blackberry notes, with layers of savory flavors following on the mid and end palate. This wine has it all, leather, smoked meat, olive tapenade, saline and a hint of orange peel.
Accolades: Wine Advocate (93pts), Jeb Dunnuck (94pts)
Food Suggestions: Grilled lamb, BBQ meats
